The Large Enterprise Digintelligence Summit 2024 – Southwest Summit was recently held in Chengdu as part of the Sichuan Province series of activities on deepening digital empowerment. The reporter learned from the summit that since Sichuan comprehensively promoted the digital and intelligent transformation initiative in the manufacturing industry, the province has innovatively established an evaluation index system for this transformation, established a resource pool for digital and intelligent transformation, and released the first batch of supplier list and the demand list of typical scenarios, aiming to further promote the targeted docking between supply and demand.

At the beginning of this year, Sichuan proposed to comprehensively implement the digital and intelligent transformation of the manufacturing industry. The province plans to establish a number of provincial-level benchmark projects for the digital transformation and upgrade of the manufacturing sector, with the goal of achieving full coverage of this transformation among industrial enterprises above the designated size by 2027. Amidst this backdrop, the Chengdu-Chongqing hub in the national computing power network is undergoing accelerated development. The province has a total of 370,000 racks either built or under construction, has fostered two national dual-cross industrial internet platforms (cross-industry and cross-field), and stands at the fourth position nationwide in terms of both the cumulative registration and resolution volume for identity resolution system in the industrial Internet of things. At present, Sichuan has established more than 400 national-level pilot demonstrations for digital and intelligent transformation, cultivated 3 lighthouse factories, 3 digital navigator enterprises, and 15 national-level intelligent manufacturing demonstration factories. Moreover, the cumulative number of enterprises that have undergone cloud transformation exceeds 410,000.

In the next step, the Sichuan Provincial Department of Economy and Information will focus on the four key points of cost reduction, efficiency enhancement, quality improvement, and green development expansion, thoroughly implement the digital and intelligent transformation of the manufacturing sector, formulate and release specialized action plans, strengthen policy support, continuously improve the transformation service system, and expedite the deep integration of new-generation information technology with manufacturing, to provide digital support for the establishment of a modernized industrial system with Sichuan characteristics.
