On April 15, the People's Government of Sichuan Province signed strategic cooperation framework agreements in Chengdu separately with China National Machinery Industry Corporation (Sinomach), Dongfang Electric Corporation (DEC), and China Tower. Wang Xiaohui, Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of Sichuan Provincial People's Congress, and Huang Qiang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, met with Zhang Xiaolun, Chairman of Sinomach, Yu Peigen, Chairman of DEC, Zhang Yanjun, General Manager of DEC, and Zhang Zhiyong, Chairman of the Board of China Tower. Additionally, they witnessed the signing of the relevant agreements together.
During the meeting, Wang Xiaohui and Huang Qiang, on behalf of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Sichuan Province, thanked the three enterprises for their enduring and significant contributions to advancing the economic and social progress of Sichuan. Wang Xiaohui said that Sichuan is a major industrial province in China, holding a distinctive and pivotal role in the national industrial development landscape. General Secretary Xi Jinping holds high expectations for the advancement of Sichuan's industrial sector, particularly within its manufacturing domain, and during his visit to Sichuan last year, he explicitly required the province to implement targeted initiatives in building a modernized industrial system, accurately taking the pulse and setting the direction for our efforts in promoting industrial development. To implement the spirit of General Secretary's important instructions and the decisions and plans of the CPC Central Committee, we unswervingly advance the strategy of revitalizing the province through industrial development and reinforcing it through manufacturing strength, vigorously execute the action plan to enhance the quality and double the value of the six advantageous industries, and strive to promote the rejuvenation of traditional industries, the growth of emerging industries, and the cultivation of future-oriented industries, aiming to accelerate the establishment of a modern industrial system with Sichuan's characteristics and advantages. At the signing ceremony, Vice Governor Tian Qingying individually signed strategic cooperation framework agreements with Sinomach's Deputy General Manager Hong Jiao, DEC's General Manager Zhang Yanjun, and China Tower's Deputy General Manager Zhao Jingbao, with each signatory representing their respective sides. According to the agreements, the three enterprises will actively integrate into Sichuan's modernization process, deepen cooperation in key areas such as major equipment manufacturing, clean energy development and utilization, and information infrastructure construction, accelerate Sichuan's advancement in intelligent and digital transformation within the manufacturing sector, drive more high-quality industrial resources to aggregate and develop in Sichuan, so that further enhance the construction of a modernized industrial system in the province and promoting its high-quality development.
