On January 10, the People's Government of Sichuan Province and Standard Chartered Bank (China) Limited signed a memorandum of understanding on financial services and cooperation in Chengdu. Li Yunze, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Vice Governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, and Zhang Xiaolei, President of Standard Chartered Bank (China), attended and signed the memorandum.
    Before,the two sides exchanged views on how finance helps the development of green and low-carbon industries in Sichuan, supporting Sichuan enterprises to "go global", seizing the opportunity of building Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, promoting the construction of the Western Financial Center, and opportunities brought to Sichuan by the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), the largest free trade agreement in the world.
    According to the memorandum, the Bank will give full play to its comprehensive financial advantages, vigorously support the building of a beautiful Sichuan, the Belt and Road, Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, China (Sichuan) Pilot Free Trade Zone, and the growth of private, small and micro enterprises, actively develop green finance, continuously improve the level of financial services, and contribute to high-quality economic development in Sichuan.
