From September 15 to 16, entrusted by Peng Qinghua, Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee, Yin Li, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, led a delegation of Sichuan party and government officials to Guangdong Province to hold the Joint Meeting of Poverty Alleviation Collaboration and Partner Assistance Between Guangdong and Sichuan, implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on east-west poverty alleviation collaboration, promote the fulfillment of poverty alleviation collaboration tasks between Sichuan and Guangdong, and deepen cooperation between the two provinces in broader fields. 　　On the joint meeting, Yin Li, on behalf of the Sichuan provincial party committee and the provincial government, expressed his gratitude to the provincial party committee, the provincial government and all sectors of society of Guangdong for their substantial investment, sincere efforts and pragmatic assistance to Sichuan over the years. He said that at present, Sichuan is fighting an ending war against poverty, and that the province's remaining seven severe poverty counties are concentrated in Liangshan. Bearing in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping's mandate, we are concentrating our forces on a comprehensive sprint. We will then further focus on key populations in key areas to accelerate leak-filling in "access to compulsory education, basic medical services and safe housing", effectively address the urgent problems of poor people in drinking water, housing and transportation, prevent and control the epidemic situation and natural disasters in a targeted manner, and help registered poor counties and villages shake off poverty on schedule and all poverty population get rid of poverty. We will resolutely win the battle against poverty, and ensure that a well-off society is built in an all-round way synchronously with the whole country. We will strive to promote the establishment and improvement of a long-term cooperative mechanism between the two provinces, strengthen the strategic coordination between the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, deepen labor cooperation, and co-build new land and sea channels in the west, so as to upgrade mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation to a new level. Guangdong's advanced practices and valuable experience in regional coordination, industrial development, and reform and opening up are leading the country. The provincial party committee and the provincial government of Guangdong will conscientiously implement the decisions and arrangements of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the CPC Central Committee, substantially enhance their political position, and resolutely complete the tasks of poverty alleviation collaboration and partner assistance between Sichuan and Guangdong with greater determination and strength. It is necessary to focus on outstanding problems and weak links, strengthen targeted assistance, deepen industrial cooperation, expand and strengthen consumption-based poverty alleviation, further expand labor cooperation, and make every effort to help Liangshan Prefecture achieve its goal of poverty alleviation with high quality. 　　During the stay in Guangdong, the delegation of Sichuan Province visited the Pazhou core subarea of Guangzhou’s artificial intelligence and digital economy pilot area to investigate the innovation and development of artificial intelligence and digital economy, and visited Huawei headquarters and Tencent Computer System Co., Ltd. to investigate the application of new technology and the development of new products, so as to promote accurate docking and deep cooperation between related industries and enterprises in the two provinces.
