On January 15, Yin Li, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, presided over a symposium to listen to the opinions and suggestions of experts and scholars, representatives of enterprises, representatives of of education, science, culture, health and sports as well as representatives of grassroots on the work of the People's Government of Sichuan Province and the Government Work Report (Exposure Draft).

The representatives said they were encouraged by the achievements of the Sichuan's economic and social development in 2019, and fully affirmed the work of the provincial government; they put forward some suggestions on the work of the provincial government in 2020, and expressed ideas and suggestions on constructing Chengdu-Chongqing Twin City Economic Circle, stimulating the vitality of innovation and entrepreneurship, improving the allocation of medical resources, developing integrated electronic information industry, tapping consumption potential, developing physical education, winning the battle against poverty, accelerating the construction of museums, intensifying vocational skills training, promoting the development of the new economy, developing cultural creativity industry, strengthening capacity building for community-level services, improving the quality of art education, developing China's national medicine, better serving the development of private enterprises, enhancing ecological environmental protection, etc.

　　Yin Li extended his gratitude to the representatives for their long-term care and support for the government work, and said that the provincial government would adopt their useful opinions and suggestions to further improve the government work report; in addition, Yin Li said that a long-term mechanism would be established and improved, and relevant departments of the People's Government of Sichuan Province often listened to the opinions and suggestions of  experts and scholars, representatives of enterprises, representatives of of education, science, culture, health and sports as well as representatives of grassroots on the government work, which could help the government realize the problems and areas of weakness in Sichuan's development as well as the needs of Sichuan people timely, accurately and comprehensively, so as to improve government work, transform government functions and tackle development problems accordingly. 2020 is the year of finishing building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, and also the final year for the 13th Five-Year Plan, Yin Li said that the provincial government and all government departments should further streamline the administration and delegate powers, improve government services and keep improving the business environment, so as to effectively stimulate the vitality of various market entities. Solid efforts should be made to ensure people's well-being, big pushes should be made to develop scientific and social undertakings, and timely measures should be taken to solve the most pressing, most immediate issues that concern the people the most, so as to increase people's sense of benefit, happiness and security. Yin Li hoped the representatives could give full play to their strengths and advantages, offer more forthright and good advice, and actively participate in different areas of Sichuan's economic and social development, so as to pool strong forces to promote Sichuan's development to a new level.
