The 2019List of Key Provincial-University Cooperation Projectshas been formulated recently. Adhering to the principle of one list for each school, this year, Sichuan will carry out 114 key projects with 21 cooperative units, including 52 major Industry-University-Research platforms, 32 key scientific and technological cooperation projects and 30 important exchange activities to better serve the new regional development of the “one main area and multiple auxiliaries, coordinated development among five zones” and the “5+1” modern industrial system.

　　This year's provincial-university cooperation key projects mainly cover strategic decision-making consultation, scientific and technological innovation cooperation, transfer and transformation of achievements, and exchange of cadres and talents. It not only reflects the supremacy of universities in the development of disciplines, scientific research and talents cultivation, but also conforms to the advantages of various regions in the province as well as the needs forthe coordinated development among the "main area" and "tributary areas" and high-quality development.

　　In terms of major platforms, Sichuan will offer support to Tsinghua University, Peking University, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, City University of Hong Kong, Sichuan University, etc. to construct innovative platforms such as the Western Research Institute of Peking University, Peking University International Finance Research Institute, International Technology Transfer Platform, National Medical Center, Sichuan Architectural Culture Protection Research Center, Special Polymer Materials Manufacturing Innovation Center,Western Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Baseof Harbin Institute of Technology, Luzhou Research Institute of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Neijiang Technology Transfer Center in its five zones.

　　In terms of key projects, Sichuan will promote Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Tongji University, Tianjin University, University of Electronic Science and Technology, Southwest Jiaotong University, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Southwest University for Nationalities and other universities to cooperate with key enterprises and institutions in the province in carrying out PandaX liquid sputum dark matter detection, new energy vehicle hybrid motor base, basalt fiber industry development and application, research and development of the western culture and tourism development index, Blue Book of Sichuan County Economic Development, etc., as well as in jointly buildinglarge-scale equipment such as deep underground ultra-low radiation background frontier physics experimental facilities and multi-state coupled rail transit dynamic model test platforms.

　　In terms of important activities, Sichuan will join efforts with Peking University, Renmin University of China, Tongji University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, the University of Nottingham, the University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the University of Macau and othersto hold field visits to the Yanjing School for Chinese and foreign youths in Sichuan, unischool program, peer program, International Biomedical and Traditional Chinese Medicine Youth Forum, the 4th China-UK Summit Cooperation and Advanced Materials Forum and other activitiesof talent exchanges and summits.

　　At present, the friendly partners for Sichuan’s talent introduction and cooperation has been expanded to more than 20 well-known domestic and foreign universities such as Tsinghua University and Peking University, as well as Chinese Academy of Sciences, Engineering Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences and more than 50 well-known enterprises, which has spawned a large number of Industry-University-Research platforms and projects in Sichuan, attracted a large number of high-end talents tostart businessesin Sichuan, and has explored new ways for the western region to introduce and depute talents who will guide and drive development and promoteopening-up.
