On October 10, the Sichuan Provincial People's Government signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) in Chengdu. In the next five years, the two sides will jointly create "three centers" for collaborative innovation in rural revitalization, demonstration and promotion of agricultural scientific and technological achievements, and cultivation of agricultural scientific and technological talents, which will help Sichuan brighten its gold brand of being a major agricultural province and speed up the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy.

　　The Rural Revitalization Collaborative Innovation Center is mainly established by relying on the Chengdu National Agricultural Science and Technology Center, with its key research directions covering technical problems in the fields of modern agricultural industry system construction, farmers' income increase, rural ecological environment improvement, etc. Relying on the Innovation Center, Sichuan and the CAAS will also jointly build national or provincial key laboratories for intelligent agriculture, agricultural remote sensing, agricultural information, rape molecular breeding, rice molecular breeding, potato molecular breeding, etc., and jointly set up a regional agricultural science and technology innovation platform.

　　In terms of demonstration and promotion of agricultural scientific and technological achievements and cultivation of agricultural scientific and technological talents, the two sides will build 2-3 national-level modern agricultural scientific and technological innovation and demonstration bases in Sichuan, attract more talents to Sichuan, and strengthen the training of Sichuan's agricultural scientific researchers.

　　To ensure efficient progress of cooperation, the two sides will set up a leading group for cooperation and coordination, establish a regular communication and exchange mechanism and a project implementation mechanism.
