This year, the funds allotted for water conservancy projects under construction in Sichuan have reached RMB 58.76 billion, accounting for 5.9% of the national total as a top-ranked province in the country. This is the implementation plan for the investment of annual water conservancy adjusted by the Sichuan Provincial Water Resources Department.

　　After the adjustment, the funds allotted for water conservancy projects construction in Sichuan has increased by about 10%. However, around July of this year, Sichuan suffered the second-largest flood in history since the founding of People’s Republic of China. In addition, given the flood season, some projects have yet to be launched.

　　At present, Sichuan Provincial Water Resources Department has issued a special notice requesting all localities to finish compensating land requisition and coordinating of externals required for project construction before the end of the flood season at the end of September. At the same time, all localities and units should prepare a backward construction schedule on a monthly basis to accelerate the construction after the flood season.
