On September 11th, Mr. Yin Li, Vice Secretary of Sichuan Provincial Committee of the CPC, Governor of People’s Government of Sichuan Province, met with Ms. Topolansky, Vice President of Uruguay, President of the National Assembly and President of the Senate.

　　Mr. Yin Li welcomed Ms. Topolansky's visit to Sichuan and thanked her for promoting the friendly exchanges between China and Uruguay, especially that between local regions of Uruguay and Sichuan Province. Mr. Yin Li said that Sichuan and Uruguay enjoy sound relationship in cooperation. The construction of the “Belt and Road” has brought new opportunities for cooperation. He hoped that the two sides could work together to promote exchanges between enterprises and peoples, and strengthen cooperation in economy, trade, culture tourism, football, and other fields while consolidating their traditional friendship, so as to bring about common development and build a community with a shared future for mankind.

　　Ms. Topolansky said that China boasts a long history and a profound culture, and its development in recent years has been remarkable. All forces in Uruguay are willing to explore cooperation with Sichuan in modern agriculture, information technology, cultural education and football against the framework of the “Belt and Road”, ensuring the implementation of cooperation projects to better benefit the people on the two sides.

　　Mr. Bergermino, Vice Foreign Minister of Uruguay, Mr. Lugris, Uruguayan Ambassador to China, Mr. Guo Jun, Vice Secretary General of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Mr. Chen Fang, Vice Chairman of the Sichuan Provincial Political Consultative Conference and Mr. Tang Limin, Secretary of the People’s Government of Sichuan Province, attended the meeting.
