On March 27th, the first promotion conference of the 17th Western China International Fair was held in Beijing, which revealed that the Fair this year will be held in Chengdu from September 20th to 24th. It will adopt the “one city with two exhibitions” model for the first time, namely holding exhibitions simultaneously at both China West International Expo City and Chengdu Century City New International Convention and Exhibition Center.

　　The theme of the Fair is “China’s New Era and Western Regions’ New Action”, with Italy as the Host Country, Chongqing the city of rotating presidency and Meishan the theme city (prefecture). The total exhibition area of the Fair is about 260,000 square meters.

　　In addition to Western China International Cooperation Forum, Western China International Sourcing Fair, China Western Investment Conference & Signing Ceremony For Economic Cooperation Projects, the “Belt and Road” Business Leaders Summit will also be held during this year’s Fair. In the meantime, there will also be Sichuan Agricultural Exposition, Western China Digital Economy Exhibition, Western China New Energy Industry Exhibition, China (Chengdu) International Emergency Equipment and Technology Exhibition, Western China International Education Exposition, China (Sichuan) Aged Care Industry & Services Exhibition, and China (Sichuan) International Recycling Economy Exposition held in the form of exhibitions among a large fair.

　　Over 160 people, including representatives of some embassies in China, heads of domestic associations for foreign business including Italian Trade Agency, the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China and China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment as well as representatives of the business community attended the promotion conference.
