2017 is the 25th anniversary for the establishment of diplomatic relationship between Israel and China. In March, President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have jointly announced in Beijing that Israel and China will establish innovative and comprehensive cooperation partner relationship. President Xi Jinping has pointed out to strengthen development strategic docking, steadily promote major cooperation projects within Belt and Road initiative, highlight on cooperation in fields including technical innovation, water resources, agriculture, health care, clean energy and so on, and extend mutual pragmatic cooperation depth and breadth between Israel and China.

　　Innovation driving development strategy has been one of the three development strategies determined by Sichuan Provincial Committee of the CPC. Mr. Wang Dongming, Secretary of Sichuan Provincial Committee of the CPC, has required to drive Sichuan’s transformation and upgrading by comprehensive innovation reform, construct a batch of high level international technical innovation and cooperation platforms, and accelerate to construct Sichuan as a leading province in innovation driving. In May, 2015, when Governor Yin Li visited Israel, Sichuan Provincial People’s Government and Israel Ministry of Economy and Industry have signed Agreement Concerning Researching and Technical Innovation Cooperation.

　　To implement the important consensus of leaders between China and Israel and promote practically The technical innovation cooperation between Israel and Sichuan as well as Mianyang, under the support of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of PRC, Ministry of Commerce of PRC, Ministry of Science and Technology of PRC, the Embassy of the PRC of China in the State of Israel, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, and Ministry of Economy and Industry of Israel, 5th China (Mianyang) Science and Technology City International High-Tech Expo has invited Israel as the guest country of honor and will establish Israel National Hall covering an area of 3,000 square meters. On September 6th to 9th, Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, Ministry of Commerce of PRC, Ministry of Science and Technology of PRC, will hold Sino-Israel Technical Cooperation Exhibition, Sino-Israel (Sichuan) Economy and Innovation Cooperation Conference, Sino-Israel High-Tech Industrial Docking Conference, Sino-Israel High-Tech Industrial Project Road Show and so on.

　　104 Israeli companies and units and 200 Israeli leaders and guests including Giza Company, the largest venture firm in Israel, Compass Company, a famous venture firm in Israel, Mobileye which has been purchased by Intel with 15.3 billion yuan, the Weizmann Institute of Science, top 10 of the world’s leading multidisciplinary basic research institutions, and IsCham China will attend the expo concerning agriculture, robots, biotechnology, communication and mobile technology, automobile, Aviation, and water technology and so on. Deyang, Meishan, Ya’an, Neijiang, Yibin, Panzhihua, Liangshan and economic zones in Chengdu, Deyang, Suining, Neijiang, Guang’an and so on will also attend the expo.
