On April 24, Zhu Hexin, Vice Governor of Sichuan Province, met with Kautsky, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, in Chengdu.

　　Zhu Hexin extended warm welcome to Kautsky. He stated that Sino-Czech strategic partnership has gained good momentum for development and delivered remarkable achievements, laying a solid foundation for deepening pragmatic cooperation between the two parties. He hoped that the two parties could, by taking advantage of the platform forged by Sino-Czech twin-city relationship, continue to promote meetings and visits between governments and high-level officials, to increase mutual understanding and deepen the cooperation and exchanges between Sichuan and Czech in economy and trade, general aviation, pilot training, automobile, and cultural industries. At the same time, Sichuan hopes that Czech will actively support fostering Changhong Industrial Park into a national demonstration project and extending the China-Europe airline to Czech.

　　Kautsky thought highly of the proposals raised by Zhu Hexin. He stated that, the visit is aimed for understanding the current situation of Sichuan-Czech cooperation and promoting the implementation of Sichuan-Czech project which the Leader of Czech will pay high attention to when attending the Belt and Road Forum next month in China. The splendid natural sceneries and fast social and economic development of Sichuan have impressed him deeply, and he hopes to further Sichuan-Czech cooperation including establish twin-city relationships between Chengdu and Leshan and Cities of Czech.

　　Karel Srol, Consul-General of the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Chengdu, and Shen Chao, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs of Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, attended the meeting.
