On December 14th, Mr. Zhu Hexin, Vice Governor of Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, attended the 2nd Sino-German Economic Forum and addressed a speech.

　　Mr. Zhu pointed out that over the past 45 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Germany, the economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges between Sichuan Province and Germany have been increasingly close. At present, Germany is Sichuan’s largest investment source and the most important trading partner in Europe.

　　He put forward three proposals on strengthening cooperation between Sichuan and Germany: the first one is to better play the role of Sino-German Innovation Industry Cooperation Platform to further promote high-level exchanges and cooperation between the two sides, to build a platform for dialogue, to make the “Sino-German Economic Forum” systematic, and to constantly improve the level of cooperation; the second one is continuing to expand the scope of cooperation through the platform of “China (Sichuan) Pilot Free Trade Zone” and the cooperation model of “platform + park” and “government + organization + enterprise”, so as to promote cooperation in manufacturing industry such as automobile, equipment, intelligent manufacturing, precision machinery and service sector like education, finance, logistics and exhibition for an all-round cooperation pattern; third, with service enterprises as the guidance, government service environment of high efficiency and quality need to be jointly created to continuously release the reform dividend.

　　The 2nd Sino-German Economic Forum aims to implement the “Belt and Road Initiative” and promote economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between Sichuan and Germany. The forum, with the focus of “Sino-German Mutual investment and Trade Cooperation” and “The prospect of Internet Economy and Intelligent Manufacturing Integration and Development”, has witnessed in-depth discussions and dialogues, during which the “Sino-German Enterprises Cross-border Investment and Trade Cooperation Fair” and “Sino-German Economic and Trade Cooperation Achievements Exhibition and German Life Carnival”, attracting more than a hundred enterprises from China and Germany.
