On May 21st, reporters learned from Department of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs of Sichuan Provincial People's Government that Mr. Gan Lin, vice governor of Sichuan, visited Belarus recently and signed Cooperation Agreement of Sichuan Province of PRC and Gomel Region of Belarus. Sichuan and Gomel Region would strengthen cooperation in the future.

　　Gomel Region is located in the southeast of Belarus with Gomel city, the second largest city in Belarus, as administrative center. Mr. Gan indicated that there was great complement in culture and industrial structures between Sichuan and Gomel. He hoped two sides could strengthen cooperation in fields such as machinery manufacturing, metal processing, chemical fiber, paper pulp, meat, milk and so on, and cultural fields, and promote win-win development. When visiting Belarus, Mr. Gan Lin also attended China-Belarus Local Trade and Economic Cooperation Forum and delivered a speech on behalf of Sichuan. Sichuan-Gomel Docking Exchange Meeting would be held in Minsk, capital of Belarus. Over 20 sichuan enterprises would attend the meeting.
