On June 2 in France at local time, China Association of Environmental Protection Industry, France China Committee, and Chengdu Economic & Technological Development Zone signed strategic and cooperative contracts about accelerating the construction of China-France Chengdu Ecological Park, which would speed up the pace of French enterprises developing in Sichuan.

　　As early as March, Chinese Minister of Commerce and French Minister of Foreign Trade signed Understanding Memorandum of Trade Cooperation of Ecological Parks, determining to build China-France Chengdu Ecological Park in Chengdu. While the strategic and cooperative contracts signed this time are crucial in promoting the pace of constructing China-France Chengdu Ecological Park. Focusing on the targets of the Understanding Memorandum, these contracts will integrate elements form both China and France, such as enterprises, capital, management, technologies, and so on to strive to build this part into a demonstration cooperation area.

　　According to the contracts, China Association of Environmental Protection Industry are mainly responsible for enhancing technological exchanges and capital cooperation in Chengdu Economic & Technological Development Zone between Chinese environmental protection industries and international counterparts. France China Committee mainly aims to coordinate with French government and enterprises and promote investment. Chengdu Economic & Technological Development Zone is responsible for laying out the overall planning for China-France Chengdu Ecological Park, defining cooperation fields and promotion plans, attracting Chinese and French companies, intermediary agencies to take part in program construction, providing excellent service and competitive cooperation conditions, and promoting the realization of facilitation of trade and investment.

　　Relevant officials from Chengdu Economic & Technological Development Zone introduce that the overall characteristics of the planning are multiple parks. 4 ecological areas with an area of 80,000 square kilometers in total in the early period included China-France Technology Industrial Park, China-France International Automobile Exhibition City, China-France Yatai Eco-Friendly Building and China-France Innovation Technology Industrial Park.

　　China-France Yatai Eco-Friendly Building and China-France Innovation Technology Industrial Park, whose first phase will be completed by the end of 2014, will strengthen cooperation of China and France in development of energy saving and environmental protection, innovation incubator, transformation of research into practice and transaction of environment equity. China-France International Automobile Exhibition City has been started last month, aiming to develop industries of automobile trade and then gradually attract French hotels, trade and exhibition. China-France Innovation Technology Industrial Park has take shape and enter the period of second attracting investment. It will enhance cooperation and exchange in culture, arts, and creative designs, and provide platform for the operation and development of French culture creative enterprises and individuals.

　　China-France Technology Industrial Park, particularly striking, would introduce France automobile enterprises of finished cars and parts, as well as advantageous enterprises of electronic information, life science, general aviation and so on. In the early April, Sichuan Provincial People's Government signed strategic and cooperative contracts with Dongfeng Motor Corporation on improving comprehensive cooperation in finished cars, including the settlement of Shenlong Fourth Factory in Chengdu. Currently China-France Technology Industrial Park is in early construction planning phase with relevant programs under negotiation.
