Air Mauritius will cooperate with Sichuan Airlines Travel Group to open the chartered direct flight from Chengdu to Mauritius at the beginning of 2015.

　　On November 20th, Mr. Donald Payen, executive vice-president of Air Mauritius, visited Chengdu and exchanged opinions with representatives from Foreign Affairs Office of Chengdu Municipal People's Government, Logistics Office of Chengdu Municipal People's Government,Sichuan Airport Group, and Sichuan Airlines Travel Group concerning opening the chartered direct flight from Chengdu to Mauritius.

　　Over the past year, the friendly relationship between Chengdu and Mauritius is getting closer and closer. In June 2014, Foreign Affairs Office of Chengdu Municipal People's Government helped Chengdu Tourism Vocations Association and Mauritius Tourism Hotel Association sign the understanding memorandum to establish overseas training base in Memorandum for Chengdu students majoring in tourism. In August 2014, Foreign Affairs Office of Chengdu Municipal People's Government and Mauritius Artists Association jointly held Mauritius - Chengdu Arts Exhibition in Chengdu and Dujiangyan.
