On June 1, Wang Xiaohui, Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of Sichuan Provincial People's Congress, met in Chengdu with a delegation led by Wang Linggui, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, who came to Sichuan to attend the 2026 Belt and Road Conference for Overseas Chinese Cooperation and Development.

Focusing on implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping's important statements on overseas Chinese affairs and a series of important instructions on Sichuan's work, the two sides exchanged views during the meeting on solidly advancing all work related to overseas Chinese affairs, continuously deepening services for overseas Chinese, further uniting the hearts and gathering the strengths of overseas Chinese, supporting and guiding overseas Chinese in better leveraging their strengths, and actively contributing to Sichuan's high-quality economic and social development.
