The concurrently launched crayfish food week drew huge crowds of visitors. On June 20, the folk custom activity of "duck catching" for the Dragon Boat Festival kicked off lively at Jinghu Lake in Deyang. Three hundred mallards were released onto the lake surface, while over a hundred stand-up paddleboard enthusiasts chased across the waves. The fun-filled water interactions fully showcased the local folk vitality, where traditional folk customs and trendy leisure pursuits collided to generate distinctive dynamism.

On the same day, leisure tours in the suburbs of Chengdu remained red-hot. Beside Xinglong Lake, local residents pitched tents, rowed light boats and strolled along the ecological greenways, enjoying peaceful leisure time amid waterside natural scenery. Inside Wangcong Shrine, a special Sichuan Opera performance was staged amid light drizzles, featuring a succession of classic opera excerpts.
