On April 4, the first day of the Qingming Festival holiday, the reporter learned from the Department of Culture and Tourism that as of 3 p.m. on the same day, the 899 A-level scenic spots included in the provincial statistics had received 4.6331 million visits and generated 43.3152 million yuan in ticket revenue, representing year-on-year increases of 30.17 percent and 48.96 percent, respectively.
Among them, 5A scenic spots received 488,400 tourist visits and generated 17.9064 million yuan in ticket revenue, representing year-on-year increases of 47.97 percent and 73.98 percent, respectively. Libraries, cultural centers, and museums across the province received 614,900 visits, a year-on-year increase of 50.38 percent.
Building on the momentum from the spring break, 136 scenic spots across the province offered free admission to primary and secondary school students, significantly increasing the share of family and parent-child travel. The Southern Sichuan Bamboo Sea Scenic Area in Yibin held a spring bamboo digging event called "Spring Bamboo Friends Gathering". In Aba Prefecture, a themed study tour activity titled "Retracing the Long March, Listening to Nature's Sounds, and Discovering the Wucai Ponds" was launched. Leshan City achieved high growth in both visitor numbers and revenue, driven by study tours, highlighted by immersive performances, boosted by targeted consumption incentives, and supported by considerate services. In Zitong County, Mianyang, the Liangdancheng of China hosted themed activities such as "Paying Tribute to the Founders of China's Nuclear Program".
Cultural and museum tours remained highly popular. Cultural and museum institutions across the province launched activities such as study tours and intangible cultural heritage experiences. Tickets for cultural and museum venues such as the Sanxingdui Museum, the Jiangkou Chenyin Museum, and the Sichuan Science and Technology Museum were fully booked for April 4 and 5. At the Ancient Qiang City in Maoxian County, a grand city-opening ceremony was held, offering visitors an immersive experience of the ancient Qiang culture.
Multi-format combination products featuring spring outings and flower viewing were well-received. Tourism offerings such as flower viewing and spring outings (flower seas in western Sichuan, bamboo seas in southern Sichuan), firefly watching (Qingshen County, Meishan), panda study tours (Bifeng Gorge, Ya'an), and ancient town leisure activities saw a surge in popularity. Combo products like "scenic spot + performance" and "high-speed rail + scenic spot" were in high demand, while orders for nighttime cultural tourism consumption scenarios increased significantly. The Douchuan Mountain Scenic Spot in Jiangyou held a parent-child cultural garden party, deeply integrating intangible cultural heritage with spring garden activities. Guang'an adopted an online-offline approach to launch special cultural tourism activities, with a focus on red-themed study tours. In Langzhong Ancient Town, 22 immersive interactive performances and special shows, such as "Zhang Fei Reviewing the Troops", were staged.
