On February 26, Wang Xiaohui, Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of Sichuan Provincial People's Congress, met in Chengdu with Dhanin Chearavanont, Senior Chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group (CP Group) in Thailand and President of China Federation of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs, and his delegation.

During the meeting, Wang Xiaohui, on behalf of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Sichuan Province, extended a welcome to Dhanin Chearavanont and his delegation and briefly introduced the province's economic and social development. He noted that CP Group is an outstanding representative of overseas Chinese enterprises and was also the first foreign-funded enterprise to invest in Sichuan after the reform and opening up, having participated in and witnessed the vigorous development of Sichuan's governance cause. He emphasized that Sichuan is currently deeply implementing the series of important instructions from General Secretary Xi Jinping on Sichuan's work and the decisions and plans of the Party Central Committee, earnestly shouldering the significant responsibility of being a major economic province, unwaveringly promoting high-quality development, and striving to write a new chapter of Sichuan in advancing Chinese modernization. This, he added, will bring new opportunities for enterprises at home and abroad, including CP Group, to grow and thrive in the province. It is hoped that CP Group will further increase its investment and strategic layout in Sichuan, accelerate the implementation of key projects, deepen cooperation across the entire agricultural industrial chain, and expand investment collaboration in fields such as biomedicine and automobile manufacturing, thus achieving greater mutual benefit and win-win outcomes. It is hoped that Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont will leverage his extensive influence and leadership in the overseas Chinese community to guide and encourage more overseas Chinese entrepreneurs and enterprises to focus on and invest in Sichuan. We will, as always, create a favorable environment and provide convenient services for all to develop in Sichuan.

Dhanin Chearavanont expressed appreciation for Sichuan's achievements in economic and social development, expressed optimism about its future prospects, and expressed willingness to deepen CP Group's presence in Sichuan, strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation across various fields, and actively act as a bridge to attract more overseas Chinese entrepreneurs and enterprises to invest and thrive in the province and share in its development opportunities.
