On January 22, it was learned from the Sichuan Expo Economic Development Co., Ltd. that the 29th China (Sichuan) New Year Shopping Festival will be held from January 30 to February 11 at the Chengdu Century City New International Convention and Exhibition Center, with a concurrent branch venue established in Chongqing.

The event is themed "Shop for Global New Year Goods and Share a Beautiful Life". The main venue of the New Year Shopping Festival in Chengdu spans 50,000 square meters. Over a thousand Chinese and international enterprises from 36 countries and regions, as well as nearly 30 domestic provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities), will present over 100,000 varieties of high-quality New Year goods.

The Shopping Festival will establish the "Global New Year Reception Hall" as its flagship IP. Over a thousand types of imported goods will be assembled under one roof, encompassing world-renowned beverages and gourmet items such as French wine, German beer, Belgian chocolate, and Australian beef, alongside lifestyle products like imported kitchenware and cultural and creative handicrafts.

The event will feature a "Sichuan Brand" premium products exhibition area, gathering renowned and high-quality specialty products from 21 cities (prefectures) across the province. High-quality items such as Chengdu's "Tianfu Yuan" distinctive agricultural products, Luzhou longans, and Aba yak meat will be showcased collectively. Quality goods from nearly 30 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) will be featured, and the "Xinjiang Quality Goods in Sichuan &Chongqing" zone will make its debut, where citizens can purchase products such as Hetian jade and distinctive dried fruits on-site.

The New Year Shopping Festival will also feature a dedicated Fine Liquor Pavilion. With the "Premium Sichuan Liquor Market and 2026 Sichuan Liquor New Year Consumption Month" as its core program, the pavilion will assemble Sichuan's leading distilleries, notably the "Six Golden Flowers" and "Ten Little Golden Flowers", alongside premier raw liquor producers. Operating under the theme "Savor Sichuan Liquor, Enjoy Life, Toasting the Future", the venue will host a New Year promotional campaign designed to benefit consumers.

As the opening event of the New Year Shopping Festival, the 3rd Ruoergai Food Fair is scheduled for a full day of activities on January 30. Visitors to the venue can enjoy a complimentary tasting of a Whole Lamb Banquet, which will be meticulously prepared using twenty sheep.
