On January 20, the launch event for the 7th Sichuan Goods E-Commerce Festival and the "Sichuan Brand" Top 100 Selection was held in Chengdu. The event focuses on the province's key industries, bringing together nearly 1,200 products from 249 enterprises across 21 cities (prefectures). It has specially curated the first batch of 117 "Sichuan Brand" premium products covering key categories such as Sichuan liquor, tea, fruits, and vegetables, established a diversified production-sales connection system, and set up dedicated exhibition and sales zones for "Made-in-Sichuan" featured products on e-commerce platforms, aiming to drive Sichuan products to expand their reach across the country and internationally.
At the launch event, a range of "Sichuan Brand" products was showcased. Additionally, representatives from platforms such as Douyin, Taobao&Tmall Group, JD.com, Meituan, and Kuaishou were invited to share insights on how their enterprises can empower these premium products to expand their market share. Following the launch event, Sichuan will conduct a concentrated, 20-day showcase of the products selected for the "Sichuan Brand" Top 100. This showcase will be open to content creators and buyers nationwide for product selection. Furthermore, two thematic resource matchmaking sessions will be held in late January and late February to achieve a sustained impact through a platform-based operational model.
"This event aims to spotlight the 'Sichuan Brand' Top 100, integrate online and offline promotional channels, facilitate precise resource matchmaking, meet the public's demand for quality consumption, and contribute to accelerating the expansion of 'Made-in-Sichuan' products across the nation and globally," said a relevant official from the Department of Commerce. The official stated that in the next phase, consistent efforts will be made to encourage platform enterprises to actively play their role in expanding domestic demand and promoting consumption. Building on their strengths in technology, user traffic, and big data, these platform enterprises are positioned to further refine product curation, broaden market channels, and enhance the effectiveness of promotional events, thereby advancing the quality elevation and market expansion of distinctive "Made-in-Sichuan" premium goods.
