On August 29, the reporter learned from the Sichuan Provincial Tax Service, State Taxation Administration, that Sichuan Province's tax and fee reduction policies supporting the scientific and technological innovation and the manufacturing industry development provided an aggregate relief amounting to 47.45 billion yuan during the first half of 2025.

The tax and fee reduction policies have demonstrated significant support for scientific and technological innovation. Itemized data reveals that policies supporting increased sci-tech investment and technology transfer resulted in a combined reduction of 16.403 billion yuan; policies supporting the cultivation and development of high-tech enterprises and emerging industries provided a total reduction of 4.057 billion yuan; and a policy package focused on tackling "bottleneck" technologies and the introduction and training of sci-tech talent generated benefits worth 3.309 billion yuan.

Take Sunway Co., Ltd. as an example. The company benefited from tax and fee reductions of approximately 5.60 million yuan in the first half of the year through policies such as additional deductions for R&D expenses and additional VAT deductions for advanced manufacturing enterprises. These funds supported the successful launch of Sunway's 12MW distributed photovoltaic power generation project.

In the manufacturing sector, policies supporting high-quality development provided aggregate relief of 20.186 billion yuan, while policies supporting equipment renewal and technological transformation resulted in a total reduction of 3.495 billion yuan, of which manufacturing enterprises received 2.055 billion yuan in benefits, promoting enhanced production efficiency.

In Deyang, Sichuan Ruiteng Electronic Co., Ltd. utilized tax savings to implement digital transformation of its aging production lines. Within its self-built digital workshop, the company deployed an AI system for automatic product defect identification, thus boosting the product yield rate by eight percent and reducing energy consumption by five percent.
