On September 15, Shi Xiaolin, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, met with a delegation led by President of SLB in Asia Sherif Shohdy in Chengdu.

Shi Xiaolin extended her welcome to Sherif Shohdy for his first visit to Sichuan and expressed gratitude to SLB for expanding its investment and business presence in the province. She stated that Sichuan is China's largest clean energy base and a national hub for natural gas R&D and production, having established a relatively comprehensive energy and chemical industrial system. SLB, a global leader in the oil and gas industry, has been actively participating in Sichuan's energy sector development in recent years. It is hoped that we can jointly seize Sichuan's development opportunities, give full play to our respective advantages, deepen and solidify existing cooperative projects with tangible results, further increase investment, enhance the deployment of new technologies, products and models in Sichuan, continuously expand cooperation in the clean energy sector, attract more upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain to gather in Sichuan, contribute to improving the energy industry ecosystem, and achieve mutually beneficial and win-win development.

Sherif Shohdy expressed gratitude for Sichuan's strong support of SLB's development, affirming the company's commitment to deepening its roots in Sichuan and leveraging its full industrial chain advantages. He stated plans to strengthen investment in the province, introduce more technical talent, continuously expand cooperation space, and better contribute to the high-quality development of Sichuan's energy industry.

Dong Weimin, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Executive Vice Governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, and heads of relevant provincial departments, among others, attended the meeting.
