On June 28, the 2025 Chinese Literature Experience Camp for South Asian Students opened at the Shizishan Campus of Sichuan Normal University. Twenty-four international students from South Asian countries such as Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Nepal will immerse themselves in the charm of fine traditional Chinese culture through activities like literary lectures and cultural excursions, experiencing the distinctive allure of "Splendid Tianfu,·Leisurely Sichuan".

Mi Xue (her Chinese name transliteration) is from Bangladesh, and she has been studying and living in Chengdu for one year. "I've visited Du Fu Thatched Cottage and traveled to Li Bai's hometown, Jiangyou. The poems written by Du Fu and Li Bai carry profound meaning," she shared. "I adore Chengdu's landscapes, and I also like its delicious cuisine." Chen Yixuan (his Chinese name transliteration), a Pakistani student, came to Chengdu through the Confucius Institute. Previously, he had already studied Chinese for two years in Pakistan. "I visited Chengdu last year for a cultural exchange program and was deeply impressed, which motivated my decision to study here." He especially loves Sichuan opera face-changing performances and the local tea culture. "Back in Pakistan, our teachers taught us about Chinese literary giants like Su Shi. Now, being in the homeland of these literary masters, I feel wonderfully familiar."

This experience camp lasts for two days. It provides international students with the opportunity to attend lectures by renowned scholars and authors while also exploring cultural landmarks such as the Du Fu Thatched Cottage Museum, Li Jieren's Former Residence, and the Meishan San Su Shrine Museum, offering them an immersive experience of Chinese culture and serving as a bridge for mutual learning between civilizations.
