On the afternoon of May 25, Wang Xiaohui, Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of Sichuan Provincial People's Congress, successively met with Arman Shakkaliyev, Kazakhstan's Minister of Trade and Integration, and Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to China, in Chengdu, welcoming them and their delegations to attend the 20th Western China International Fair (WCIF) held in Sichuan.

During the meeting, Wang Xiaohui provided a brief overview of Sichuan's economic and social development. He noted that under the strategic guidance of head-of-state diplomacy, China-Kazakhstan and China-UAE relations have continued to thrive toward the goal of jointly building a community with a shared future. As bilateral relations continuously reach new heights, Sichuan has seen its exchanges and cooperation with the two countries further deepen and broaden across various fields, leading to substantial outcomes. Kazakhstan and the UAE are important partners for Sichuan in promoting high-standard opening up and accelerating the construction of a strategic highland for opening up to the west and a new base for participating in international competition. We are willing to fully share the new opportunities brought by Sichuan's modernization drive with the two countries, make good use of the WCIF, an international exchange and cooperation platform, and, under the framework of high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, continuously deepen exchanges and cooperation with Kazakhstan and the UAE in such fields as economy and trade, science and education, culture and tourism, in a bid to achieve more practical outcomes and make Sichuan's contributions to the sustained development of China-Kazakhstan and China-UAE relations.
