Sichuan Specialty Products Beijing Promotion Season Launched

On April 2, the Sichuan Specialty Products Beijing Promotion Season was officially inaugurated at Beijing's fudi boutique supermarket. This promotional event was organized under the joint guidance of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce and Sichuan Commercial Investment Group, with Sichuan Provincial Commercial Investment County Commercial Group Co., Ltd. serving as the primary organizer. It is Sichuan's first dedicated promotional event for local specialty products outside the province. This showcase will run until the end of May.

The current event is a featured component of the "Spring Initiates Infinite Possibilities" Tianfu Consumption Season. There will be dedicated Sichuan specialty sections in fudi membership stores, displaying over 30 products, including Zhongjiang fine-dried noodles, Mianyang rice vermicelli, Ganzi matsutake mushrooms, Jintang morel mushrooms, and Tongjiang snow fungus. Online and offline joint promotional activities will also be conducted to enhance the visibility and sales of Sichuan's high-quality agricultural specialties. Consumers will enjoy discounts through activities such as "Gift Packages with Purchase", "Membership Points Doubling", and "Tasting Check-ins". On-site, visitors can enjoy interactive activities with costumed mascots, including giant pandas and other cultural icons, and receive Sichuan specialty gift bags, collectively adding fun and a sense of participation to the event.

While geographically distant, Sichuan and Beijing have strong economic complementarities and huge potential for cooperation. The promotion season event not only uses high-end boutique supermarkets in Beijing as a window to expand consumption and enhance the brand awareness of Sichuan products but also leverages their sales network and channels to further expand the eastern China market. In addition, to promote deeper cooperation between enterprises in Sichuan and Beijing, the launch event featured supply and demand matching sessions connecting Sichuan enterprises, such as Tianfu Preferred Brand Operation Business Management Co., Ltd. and Yacha Group, and Beijing channel representatives, such as Beijing Capital Agribusiness &Food Group and JD Group, enabling them to jointly explore a long-term cooperation mechanism for introducing Sichuan branded products into Beijing's consumer markets.

A leading official from the Department of Commerce explained that, in the next step, the province will replicate this model and further carry out a series of activities in first-tier cities, such as Shanghai and Guangzhou, in a bid to transition Sichuan products from initial market entry to established market presence and ultimately achieving brand recognition.
