On April 21, Wang Xiaohui, Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of Sichuan Provincial People's Congress, met in Chengdu with a delegation led by Song Tao, Director of Taiwan Work Office of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council. During the meeting, the two sides exchanged opinions on multiple topics, such as earnestly implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on the work related to Taiwan and the Party's overall policy for the new era on resolving the Taiwan question. They discussed using the opportunity of hosting the 2025 Sichuan Exchange Meeting on Integrated Cross-Straits Development to continuously expand exchanges and cooperation between Sichuan and Taiwan in areas such as economy and trade, science and technology, education, culture, tourism, and youth, thus better promoting the integrated development of Sichuan and Taiwan.
