On April 19, at the 2025 Xi'an Silk Road International Tourism Expo, Sichuan Province hosted a cultural and tourism promotion event, unveiling its "Relaxed Sichuan - Joy in Labor Day" initiative. The event introduced ten premium travel itineraries and exclusive holiday benefits, inviting domestic and international tourists to explore Sichuan's diverse attractions during the upcoming Labor Day holiday.
Sichuan's travel highlights are a blend of experiences, encompassing the tranquil charm of morning teahouses, the magnificent vastness of snow-capped mountains under the starry sky, the intriguing secrets of the ancient Shu civilization, the endearing behaviors of the panda known affectionately as "Gungun", the majestic landscapes of cloud-enveloped western Sichuan, the earthly aroma of streets and alleys, and more. The "Relaxed Sichuan - Joy in Labor Day" ten high-quality travel itineraries released on-site include the "Fascinating Ancient Shu Civilization" parent-child cultural and museum tour, the "Exploring the Panda's Home" ecological study tour, and the "Shu-Han Dynasty Quest" Three Kingdoms historical journey. In addition, at the event venue, cultural and tourism promoters from Bazhong, Suining, Ya'an, Zigong, Meishan, and the Sichuan Tourism Investment Group presented the unique cultural and tourism offerings of their regions. Through vivid and artistic narratives, they encapsulated the diverse and enriching travel experiences available across Sichuan.
In preparation for the upcoming Labor Day holiday, various regions in Sichuan have unveiled a diverse selection of themed events and public-friendly policies. To entice visitors, Bazhong has implemented five tourist attraction strategies: group tour incentives, aviation bonuses, self-driving perks, educational tour benefits, and rewards for cumulative hospitality. Over the Labor Day holiday, Bazhong will also provide discounted daily tickets for the Guangwu Mountain scenic area and operate an azalea-themed special train service directly from Bazhong and Hanzhong to Guangwu Mountain. Passengers on this train will receive a "romantic flower bouquet" and a limited-edition train ticket adorned with azalea imagery. Yibin is distributing Labor Day seasonal cultural and tourism consumption vouchers to tourists nationwide. These vouchers are redeemable for a variety of services in Yibin, such as entry to tourist attractions, stays at hotels and guesthouses, tickets to exhibitions and performances, vacation packages, cinema visits, and car rentals for self-guided tours. Zigong and Suining, among other regions in Sichuan, have implemented a range of policies aimed at attracting tourists, such as providing financial subsidies to travel agencies, which in turn offer more convenient services to visitors.
