The 137th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, opened its doors in Guangzhou on April 15. Focusing on the themes of "Advanced Manufacturing", "Quality Home Life", and "Better Life", the Sichuan and Chengdu delegations have organized a total of 458 enterprises to participate in the Canton Fair. These companies are showcasing their products in 1,081 booths across 50 exhibition areas, featuring a wide range of products, including home appliances, furniture, clothing, and footwear.

This edition of the Canton Fair spans an area of 1.55 million square meters, hosting about 74,000 booths and accommodating approximately 31,000 participating enterprises. The export section of this year's Canton Fair encompasses nearly 73,000 booths, with the number of participating companies surpassing the 30,000 mark for the first time. As of April 13, over 200,000 overseas buyers from 215 countries and regions have pre-registered for participation.

In addition, this edition of the Canton Fair features a newly added Service Robots Zone. Sichuan has three companies participating in this specialized zone, with a dedicated cluster of 12 booths collectively displaying the province's latest advancements in artificial intelligence.

Among the Sichuan companies participating in this exhibition, 102 have been recognized with such designations as national high-tech enterprises, specialized and sophisticated "little giant" companies, and champions in specific manufacturing sectors, increased by 16 compared to the previous session. The province collectively exhibits 48,000 items, including over 9,700 new products, more than 6,000 green and low-carbon products, and over 3,100 products with independent intellectual property rights. These exhibits focus on green development, intelligence, and digitalization, comprehensively showcasing Sichuan's achievements in technological innovation, value creation, and green development through intelligent manufacturing, in a bid to support the cultivation of new momentum in foreign trade.

During the fair, a series of trade promotion events will highlight Sichuan's key regions, such as Jianyang City of Chengdu and Leshan City, showcasing their local specialty industries, quality enterprises, and outstanding products. These activities are designed to help local businesses fully utilize the Canton Fair platform, diversifying their international market reach and injecting fresh momentum into Sichuan's foreign trade to stabilize its scale and optimize its structure.
