On December 26, the People's Government of Sichuan Province and Fudan University signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Chengdu. Shi Xiaolin, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, and Jin Li, President of Fudan University and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, attended the signing ceremony and jointly witnessed the signing of the agreement.

Chen Shuping, Vice Governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, and Xu Zheng, Executive Vice President of Fudan University, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides. According to the agreement, both sides will leverage their respective strengths—with Sichuan excelling in location, resources, and industry, and Fudan University boasting strengths in science and technology, education, and talent. They will engage in all-round province-university cooperation in areas such as strategic decision-making consultation, construction of major innovation platforms, transformation and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements, talent cultivation and exchange, and innovation and entrepreneurship education and practice. This collaboration aims to better serve the country's greater self-reliance and strength in science and technology, drive the high-quality economic and social development of Sichuan, and advance Fudan University's goal of developing into a world-class university with Chinese characteristics.

Jin Lei, Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Organization Department of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee, presided over the signing ceremony. Also present were leading officials from Fudan University and relevant provincial departments, among others.
