On December 8, the launch ceremony for the 2025 Sichuan Winter Tourism Season was held at the Qiangren Valley Ski Resort in Wenchuan County, Aba Prefecture. Leveraging this event, the Ice and Snow Tourism Alliance of the Ba-Shu Cultural and Tourism Corridor has been officially established. It is also introducing seven major winter experience categories: from the speed and thrill of 18 key ski resorts to the restorative relaxation of 16 unique hot springs; from the serene joy of landscapes at 12 tourist resorts to the poetic leisure embodied by hundreds of distinctive, culturally rich accommodations; from the intellectual inspiration at educational bases to the Ba-Shu cultural stories shared through museum exhibitions, along with 809 Tianfu tourism delicacies to awaken taste bud memories, all meticulously crafted into a distinctive winter product system.

On-site, a richly atmospheric scenario-based presentation guided visitors through an immersive journey into the seven major winter experience categories, stepping into the joyful voyage of "Travel Sichuan This Winter".

Sichuan is one of the regions in the world with relatively abundant low-latitude ice and snow tourism resources and is among the more suitable areas in southern China for developing ice and snow tourism, boasting a distinctive "warm snow" advantage compared to northern regions. "As a northerner and a winter sports athlete, I've seen countless snowscapes, but Sichuan's 'warm snow' has completely overturned my imagination of ice and snow! Skiing here, you can gear up lightly and enjoy the speed in much more comfortable temperatures," enthusiastically remarked Ren Ziwei, Olympic champion in short track speed skating, promoting Sichuan's one-of-a-kind "Warm Snow on Shu Mountains".

Liu Yong, extreme explorer and professor at Sichuan Tourism University, shared his peak "dialogue" with the Shu Mountains during an ice-climbing journey, while also enjoying the complete hot spring services that Sichuan has offered. That day, several international visitor representatives also made a special trip to the event site, sharing first-hand experiences about the convenience for foreigners in Sichuan. Chengdu has become the first city in the country where overseas bank cards can be used directly to pay for bus rides; foreigners can handle international communication roaming, mobile payment binding, and foreign card acceptance all in one stop; and tax refund counters have been directly set up in shopping malls.

Leveraging this event, representatives from the Association of Thai Travel Agents, the Malaysian Inbound Tourism Association, the Sichuan Province Travel Agency Association, Commonwealth Travel Service Corporation Pte Ltd, and the Hanoi Tourism Association jointly signed a cooperation agreement on inbound tourism, aimed at encouraging more travelers to journey across mountains and seas to visit.
