On the morning of September 28, the 2025 Tianfu Artificial Intelligence Industry Ecosystem Conference commenced at Chengdu Sci-Tech Innovation Eco-Island, under the theme "Gathering Momentum in Tianfu, Intelligent Chains for the Future". Shi Xiaolin, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, attended the event.

Artificial intelligence technology is currently accelerating through iterative advancements, driving profound transformations across economic and social spheres. The provincial Party committee and provincial government, in implementing the decisions of the Party Central Committee and State Council, have designated artificial intelligence as the "No.1 innovation project". By establishing coordinated mechanisms to advance industrial cluster development and strengthen chains, they accelerate efforts to capture emerging opportunities in new arenas such as computing power, datasets and corpora, foundational hardware, large models, intelligent devices, and AI applications, actively foster an industrial ecosystem rich in computing resources, vibrant in innovation, diverse in application scenarios, and efficient in factor allocation, and advance the development of both the national pilot zone for AI innovation and development and the national demonstration zone for AI innovation and application. In the first half of this year, the province's artificial intelligence industry generated 92.6 billion yuan in revenue, marking a 31.6 percent year-on-year increase. The sector now encompasses over 1,500 enterprises, with more than 700 companies reaching critical development milestones—including achieving designated size thresholds, completing public listings, entering industry rankings, and implementing cloud technologies.

At the conference, Chen Shuping, Vice Governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, delivered the opening address. Kai-Fu Lee, CEO of 01.AI and chairman of Sinovation Ventures, presented a keynote speech on how AI agents empower industrial development. The Artificial Intelligence Industry Chain Leader Office released the Sichuan Province Artificial Intelligence Industry Demand and Product Supply Inventory. Sichuan Science and Technology Innovation Investment Group, Sichuan Talent Development Group, and China Telecom Artificial Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd. presented ecosystem empowerment initiatives focusing respectively on: the "Tianfu Intelligent Cloud" AI industrial brain, Sichuan's AI talent recruitment mapping framework, and the Sichuan node of the "XiRang" integrated intelligent computing platform. Sichuan Huakun Zhenyu Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. and the Automation Research Institute of China South Industries Group Corporation shared their experience in promoting the coordinated development of affiliated enterprises in the industrial chain. At the site, a centralized signing of major projects also took place.

At around 10:30, Shi Xiaolin, Chen Shuping, Mayor of Chengdu Municipal People's Government Wang Fengchao, and the heads of enterprises such as Eventech, Chengdu Zhipu, EIR Technology, and VisionZenith jointly launched the construction of the "Zhuge Space" Artificial Intelligence Industry Ecosystem Demonstration Zone. This zone will concentrate on core domains such as large models and robotics, forge a tightly integrated industrial ecosystem, and drive efficient synergy across industrial chain elements through spatial clustering, thus exploring replicable and scalable pathway models for AI industry development.

Before the event started, Shi Xiaolin and others also visited the exhibition of key "AI Plus" application products.

Also present were Deng Longjiang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Hu Yuankun, a member of the Party Leading Group of the provincial government, heads of relevant provincial departments, government officials from the primary host locations and collaborative development locations of the artificial intelligence industry chain, as well as representatives of AI enterprises, relevant investment institutions, industry associations, universities and research institutes, among others.
