The 2025 World Power Battery Conference will be held in Yibin City from November 12 to 13, according to information released at the press briefing for the conference on October 24. At that time, 110 Chinese and international enterprises, including CATL and CALB, will participate in the conference and showcase their latest products and technologies.

The 2025 World Power Battery Conference is hosted by the People's Government of Sichuan Province, with co-organization handled by the People's Government of Yibin City, the Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, and the Equipment Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Under the theme "New Vision, New Ecosystem, New Opportunities", this year's conference will feature an opening ceremony, a plenary session, six thematic forums, and multiple exhibition events. The thematic forums will delve into cutting-edge technologies, new energy storage solutions, recycling and reuse, innovative applications, logistics supply chains, and safety performance. Meanwhile, the exhibition events will spotlight pioneering application scenarios in sectors such as the low-altitude economy, embodied AI, electric tools, and electric vessels. A number of major projects across the power battery industry chain are scheduled to be signed at the conference.

The conference, distinguished by its professional, market-oriented, and international character, will bring together renowned academics, experts, scholars, and representatives from leading companies. It will also convene heads from top-tier enterprises in sectors such as new energy vehicles, electric aviation, electric vessels, and embodied AI, alongside delegates from global organizations like the Global Battery Alliance and firms such as LG Energy Solution. The conference will feature a dedicated international zone and host an "International Exchange Day" to build a global supply-demand cooperation platform. Currently, over 400 distinguished guests have expressed their intention to attend.

In recent years, leveraging the province's strengths in energy, industrial capacity, and talent, Sichuan's power battery industry has achieved transformative growth, evolving from non-existence to forming complete chains and further clustering into a robust industrial ecosystem. In the first three quarters of this year, Sichuan's power battery output reached 168.1 GWh, marking a year-on-year increase of 49.2 percent, with annual production expected to surpass 200 GWh. Sichuan has successively established provincial-level pilot-scale R&D platforms for key lithium battery materials and battery system applications, attracting over 200 upstream and downstream enterprises in the power battery sector. Yibin has emerged as one of China's leading hubs for the power battery industry, boasting the nation's most comprehensive industrial chain and strongest supporting capacity.

The World Power Battery Conference has been held in Yibin since its inception in 2022, with three successful editions to date. The event has collectively facilitated the introduction of over 120 power battery and upstream/downstream projects, involving agreed investments exceeding 200 billion yuan.
