As of the end of October, 160 major projects for the joint construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, of which 157 broke ground, cumulatively completed an investment of 520.17 billion yuan, according to the Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission. This year, 188.95 billion yuan has been invested, with an annual investment completion rate of 103%, so that the annual investment plan has been completed ahead of schedule. 

Modern industries, scientific and technological innovation and public service projects take the lead in achieving the targets. From January to October, the investment in modern industries, scientific and technological innovation and public service projects amounted to 84.61 billion yuan, 13.44 billion yuan and 7.68 billion yuan respectively, with an annual investment completion rate of 116.2%, 106.2% and 201.6% respectively. A total of 38 modern industries projects such as Changshou high-performance lithium-ion battery microporous separator project, 15 scientific and technological innovation projects such as the sci-tech innovation base of the Sichuan-Chongqing Gaozhu New Area and 3 public service projects such as Suining-Tongnan regional vocational education center met their annual investment targets ahead of schedule. 

Modern infrastructure and culture and tourism projects are sprinting towards the set annual targets. From January to October, the investment in modern infrastructure and culture and tourism projects was 77.89 billion yuan and 4.12 billion yuan respectively, with an annual investment completion rate of 88.2% and 98.9% respectively. A total of 13 modern infrastructure projects such as Langzhong Airport and 5 culture and tourism projects such as Daba Mountain International Tourist Resort completed the annual investment plan ahead of schedule. Luzhou-Yongchuan Expressway was opened to traffic, and the main works of Sanxingdui National Cultural Relic Protection and Utilization Demonstration Area (Phase I) was completed. 

Ecological conservation projects are accelerating construction. From January to October, the investment in the ecological conservation projects reached 1.2 billion yuan. The Mingyue Mountain national reserve forest construction project completed the acquisition and storage of about 128.3 hectares of forest land, the Sichuan-Chongqing joint pollution prevention and control project for water environment protection in the Tongbo River Basin laid part of the domestic sewage pipe network and installed equipment in the plant area, and the Neijiang Tuojiang River Basin water environment comprehensive treatment project completed the main works of a reclaimed water plant.
