Huang Qiang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, inspected the learning of and education about Party history in Chengdu on June 8, 2021. He stressed the need to study and put into practice General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the mobilization meeting over the learning of and education about Party history, finalize the arrangements made by the CPC Central Committee and the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee, incorporate actual circumstances into planning, seek to address problems, learn Party history and educate cadres in ongoing work and efforts to solve pressing problems, step up the campaign for "serving people pragmatically," test the effectiveness of the learning of and education about Party history with tangible results, and further promote Party history learning and education.

　　Huang Qiang visited the comprehensive exhibition titled "Fight and Glory — Centennial Ode to the Communist Party of China" at Sichuan Museum of Jianchuan, Anren Town, Dayi County, which was the site for his inspection of the learning of and education about Party history in Chengdu. Huang Qiang admired the objects, documents, pictures and scenes well preserved in the exhibition hall, listened carefully to the exhibition commentator, and asked some questions. He observed that we should tap the rich revolutionary legacy of the museum and graphically tell the stories about the revolution, especially the touching stories about the revolutionaries and patriotic martyrs who fought for their cause in Sichuan.

　　At the site of the pastoral complex project in Xianghe Community, Shaqu Sub-district, Dayi County, Huang Qiang was briefed on the learning of and education about Party history in Dayi, the campaign for "serving people pragmatically," and the planning and construction of the Pastoral Modern Agricultural Park. He checked the work list of the project Party committee and inquired about the project's role in promoting the integrated development of agriculture, commerce, culture, tourism and sports and appealed for earnest efforts to overcome difficulties facing development and employment in rural areas, provide a complete mechanism for driving agricultural development, ensure diversified and stable income for farmers and ramp up the disposal of rural domestic sewage.

　　Huang Qiang also visited the water-level observation point under Huanglongxi Covered Bridge in Shuangliu District and inspected the governance of the water ecosystem on the state-controlled section of Huanglongxi of Jinjiang River. He was briefed on Chengdu's preparedness for flood prevention in 2021 and the early-warning measures taken on Huanglongxi section of Jinjiang River. He emphasized that we must avoid direct sewage discharge, trace and correct faults in the pipe network, watch out for early signs of risks scientifically and work towards digital control.

　　According to Huang Qiang, we must leverage our revolutionary legacy, inherit what is inherent in the revolution, make the learning of and education about Party history an endeavor that is more readily accepted by people, closer to life and more popular, and inspire Party members and cadres with the century-long great cause of the Party. We must strive to solve people's pressing problems, make concerted efforts to serve people wholeheartedly, and continue to heighten people's sense of gain and satisfaction. We must accelerate the integrated development of industries, agriculture and services in rural areas, innovate the development model, vigorously develop the collective economy, maintain a balance in rural development, protect characteristic rural landscapes and local traditions, keep the eco-environment in good shape, make rural areas green, scenic and appealing, promote rural revitalization, and celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party with extraordinary achievements.

　　The inspection team led by Huang Qiang also included Fan Ruiping, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Chengdu Municipal Committee, Wang Fengchao, Mayor of Chengdu Municipal People's Government, Hu Yun, Secretary-General of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, as well as heads of relevant provincial departments and officials from Chengdu.
