On December 22, the Summary, Commendation, and Promotion Conference of Sichuan Provincial Rural Cultural Revitalization Project was held in Suining. Zhaohua Town in Zhaohua District, Guangyuan and Zhanqi Village in Tangchang Town, Pidu District, Chengdu were included in the list of the first 100 Sichuan Provincial Demonstration Villages/Towns of Rural Cultural Revitalization.

　　In 2021, the Publicity Department of CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee, Office of Sichuan Provincial Cyberspace Affairs Commission, Sichuan Provincial Department of Finance, and other six departments co-initiated the Rural Cultural Revitalization Project, which plans to develop 500 provincial, 2,500 municipal, and 10,000 county-level demonstration villages/towns within five years.

　　Through such procedures as city (prefecture) recommendation, expert review, random field inspection, and media publicity, the member units of the project's demonstration villages/towns construction coordination team finalized the list. Over the past year, places made bottom-up attempts to develop demonstration villages/towns on all fronts, to meet the requirement of "one village with one product, one town with one feature". As a result, Sichuan selected the first 100 provincial demonstration villages/towns; contributed to the building of 652 municipal and 2,692 county-level demonstration villages/towns.

　　The nine departments demanded that the selected villages/towns cherish the honor and make new progress based on what they have achieved. Places should intensify efforts to promote the experience and practices of the demonstration villages/towns, reshape the cultural environment in rural areas, modernize the capacity of primary-level governance, pool talent to support rural revitalization, and make greater contributions to lead Sichuan into a higher level in the new era.
