The review period of the patent is shorter than the national average by 20 months.

　　On August 9, according to a source from China (Sichuan) Intellectual Property Protection Center, the Portable Rock Pivoting Friction Test Unit and Test Methods submitted by the Southwest Jiaotong University was authorized to be issued by the National Intellectual Property Administration on August 8. This is the first invention patent granted by the National Intellectual Property Administration since the center started to provide rapid previewing service.

　　The patent was filed on June 6, and just two months later, it was authorized to be issued by the National Intellectual Property Administration on August 8. According to the data for the first half of 2019 released by State Intellectual Property Office, it takes 22.7 months for the patent review in China, 20.5 months for the high-value one, 6.2 months for the innovation one, and 4.0 for design patent review.

　　Since it was launched since late July, the center received 43 previewing patent applications submitted by enterprises and public institutions, 28 of which have been passed the preliminary review and got access to rapid previewing qualification, and seven of which have been granted by the National Intellectual Property Administration.
