Polish Economic and Trade Representative Office in Chengdu Was Unveiled

  On November 22nd, the Polish Economic and Trade Representative Office in Chengdu was unveiled at the China-European Center of Chengdu High-tech Zone. This is the second Polish Economic and Trade Representative Office established in China. The first one was set up in Shanghai.

  Mr. Kochcinski, Deputy Secretary of State for the Ministry of Enterprise and Technology of Poland, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, saying that the establishment of the Polish Economic and Trade Representative Office in Chengdu will bring about great opportunities for companies on both sides to expand their business. He hoped to take this opportunity to further deepen Poland and Sichuan's cooperation in high-tech industries and other fields. Mr. Federico, Director of the Polish Investment and Trade Bureau, said that the representative office will greatly promote investment between the two sides and provide a platform for cooperation between the two sides in the fields of aviation, supermarkets, railways and containers.

  Poland represents the largest trading partner of Sichuan in Central and Eastern Europe. In 2015, the Polish Consulate General in Chengdu was opened to the public. In recent years, Sichuan and Poland have shared frequent exchanges of high-level visits, established close economic and trade ties on top of the China Railway Express (Chengdu), and achieved fruitful results of cooperation in the fields of science and technology, culture, education and friendly visits.
