Biography
Luo Qiang, male, Han nationality, was born in October 1963 in Chongqing. Luo graduated from Chengdu Institute of Technology, majoring in mineralogy, petrology and mineral deposits, and obtained a master's degree and a doctor's degree of science. Professor Luo started his career in August 1982 and joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in March 1985.
He now serves as vice governor and member of the Party Leading Group of the People's Government of Sichuan Province.

Responsibilities
Luo Qiang is responsible for governing affairs associated to industrial economy, education, culture, tourism, radio and television, sports, communications, production accidents prevention and disposal and other work.
He directs Sichuan Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, Sichuan Provincial Department of Education, Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism (Sichuan Provincial Cultural Heritage Administration), Sichuan Provincial Security Office, Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Sport, Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Radio and Television, Sichuan Provincial Academy of Social Sciences, Sichuan Provincial Gold Bureau, etc.
