On October 18th, the launching ceremony of the China (Sichuan) - ASEAN Cooperation Center for Free Trade was held at the Convention Center of Tianfu Metro in Chengdu. The center will serve as a new important platform for Chengdu and even Sichuan to expand mutually beneficial cooperation with ASEAN and accelerate the construction of a west-ward and south-ward opening-up pattern across the board.

      The Center projects the image of Chengdu as the starting point of the Southern Silk Road and as an important node of the “Belt and Road” construction. It will assist a group of export-oriented enterprises with independent brands, high reputation and strong market expansion capabilities in exploring the ASEAN market and guide the integration of ASEAN’s advantageous resources such as cultures, energies, education, medical care, and commerce. It is located at the International Commodity Exhibition Center of Shuangliu Park in Chengdu High-tech Comprehensive Bonded Zone, covering an area of 47.1 mu with a total construction area of around 116,000m2.
