A list of 700 key projects in Sichuan in 2022 has been released recently. Among them, the construction of 454 projects will continue, and that of 246 will be commenced this year.
    They come into four categories, namely industry, infrastructure, people's livelihood and social undertakings, as well as ecological enhancement and environmental protection. The industry category has the largest number, up to 327 projects, including Hengli (Luzhou) functional fiber new material project and Meishan Shanshan lithium ion battery anode material project with an annual output of 200,000 tons. The infrastructure category comes as a second with 269 projects, such as Line G4216 Renshou-Panzhihua Expressway project and Tingzikou Irrigation Area Phase I project. There are 78 projects for people's livelihood and social undertakings, as well as 26 ones for ecological enhancement and environmental protection.
    According to an official from Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the issuance of the list at the beginning of the year is to encourage the spirit of "speeding up and contending for the first place from the start".  Sichuan will continuously prioritize stability while pursuing progress, take the construction of key projects as an important measure to expand effective investment and stabilize economic growth, adopt targeted steps, provide proactive services, strengthen coordination, factors guarantee, comprehensive financial services, and reports on supervision, accelerate the implementation of projects under construction, promote earlier groundbreaking of well-prepared projects, and make real progress as soon as possible.
