On March 16, the leading group for the construction of Sichuan section of the Long March national cultural park convened the 2nd plenary meeting. It aims to thoroughly learn relevant spirits of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), implement the deployment requirements of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee, and study how to advance the next-step work. Gan Lin, a member of the Standing Committee and Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and head of the leading group attended the meeting and delivered a speech; Luo Qiang, Vice Governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Province and head of the leading group chaired the meeting.

　　It was emphasized that the Long March national cultural park is a major cultural project arranged and promoted by General Secretary Xi Jinping. The CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Sichuan Province made relevant arrangements based on the CPC Central Committee's decisions, deployments and spirits. The meeting asked for fulfillment of responsibility as well as planning, guidance, supervision and safeguards at the provincial level to ensure thorough implementation of the work arrangements made by the CPC Central Committee and the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee. The province should take the initiative to serve the preparation of national planning, strengthen academic support and explore the rich cultural connotations of the Long March in Sichuan based on related historical facts, and ensure the formation of a coordinated, high-quality and efficient planning system. It needs to expedite the implementation of the project in a strong and orderly manner with perfect planning and strict control, and put more efforts into major projects in key fields, so as to help the park achieve effective results in construction. In addition, Sichuan must increase policy support to pool resources and gather strength, highlight the main role of the locality and strengthen cooperation in a bid to ensure high-quality and high-standard promotion of all tasks and strive to build Sichuan section of the Long March national cultural park into a first-rate project.

　　At the meeting, members of the leading group made a report on their work, and such contents as the implementation plan for the construction of the Sichuan section of the park, key projects and support policies were reviewed.
