Three projects in Sichuan were included in the first batch of investment plans concerned in the 2021 central budget for implementing major regional development strategies (ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River basin) recently released by the National Development and Reform Commission of China. The combined investment of the three projects is expected to reach 179 million yuan, of which 143 million yuan will come from the central budget.

　　The three projects are the wetland protection and restoration project of the Yellow River basin in Ruoergai County, the water source conservation capacity improvement project of Ruoergai Wetland (the part in Hongyuan County), and the integrated facilities construction project for sewage treatment in the administrative townships of Ruoergai County. The construction of the projects will effectively improve the ecological environment quality of the Yellow River basin in the province and help to enhance the water source conservation capacity of the upper reaches of the Yellow River.

　　In the next step, Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission will work with relevant authorities to strengthen supervision and guidance, speed up the construction of the projects, and ensure that the performance objectives of the investment plans are achieved on schedule with both quality and quantity.

　　The first batch of investment plans concerned in the 2021 central budget for implementing major regional development strategies (ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River basin) is aimed to solve prominent ecological and environmental problems in the Yellow River basin, vigorously promote the protection and restoration of the ecological and environmental system in the Yellow River basin, and focus on supporting the "3+1" comprehensive control of environmental pollution, the conservation and better use of water resources, and ecological protection and restoration in the nine provincial-level regions along the Yellow River.
