On September 25, Sichuan Provincial Industry Innovation Center for Precision Medicine was signed in Chengdu. Yin Li, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Governor of People's Government of Sichuan Province, attended the signing ceremony and awarded the innovation center.

　　Before the signing ceremony, Yin Li visited the center to inspect its planning and construction and stressed the need to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important statement on hygiene and health. Yin Li said that the center should adhere to the principle of putting people and life first to protect people's health in an all-round way and in the full life cycle, take active measures to promote the deep integrated development of health innovation chain and industry chain of Sichuan, and give full play to the supporting role of science and technology. Additionally, it is required to accelerate efforts to strengthen areas of weakness in medical research, biotechnology and medical equipment, speed up the application of 5G technology in the medical field, and vigorously promote institutional reform in medical care and public health, thereby creating better and more efficient health services.

　　The center is led by West China Hospital of Sichuan University and jointly initiated by six enterprises and investment institutions including Shanghai Pharmaceuticals Holding Co. Ltd., Maccura Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Novuseeds Medtech, WestChina-Frontier PharmaTech, Chengdu Hi-tech Investment Group Co., Ltd., and Chengdu Technology Services Group Co., Ltd. It is committed to making breakthroughs in some major key core technologies in the field of precision medicine to strengthen the weakness in the development of related industries and better meet people's health needs.

　　Wang Fengchao, Mayor of Chengdu, and Wang Jianguo, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Sichuan University, addressed the signing ceremony respectively. Zhang Yan, Secretary-General of the People' Government of Sichuan Province, presided over the signing ceremony. Heads of relevant provincial departments also attended the ceremony.
