On February 14, Yin Li, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, presided over the 42nd Executive Meeting of the People's Government of Sichuan Province to study and implement the spirits of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on COVID-19 prevention and control during his research visit in Beijing, the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, the meeting of the CPC Central Committee's leading group on COVID-19 prevention and control and the executive meeting of the State Council, and make overall arrangements on COVID-19 prevention and control, resumption and reproduction, poverty alleviation, rural revitalization and relevant commendation work.

　　The meeting stressed that departments at all levels throughout Sichuan Province should thoroughly implement the spirits of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important statements as well as the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, firmly obey the unified command and deployment of the Party Central Committee, coordinate all the activities of the nation as a whole, make overall planning and coordination at the provincial level, and further implement the measures for epidemic prevention and control with greater efforts, so as to win the battle against the epidemic. The meeting called for a clear understanding of the current epidemic prevention and control, and called on all departments concerned to continue to carry forward the spirit of tenacious and continuous fight, overcome carelessness and war-weariness, strengthen the areas of weakness, focus on key areas and control the infection sources, enhance medical treatment comprehensively, and refine, improve and deepen classified management in different areas in Sichuan, so as to firmly curb the spread of the epidemic and bring the economy and the society back on track. The meeting urged to strengthen overall planning and coordination both on epidemic prevention and control as well as economic and social development, and promote key tasks such as spring ploughing, resumption and reproduction of enterprises, poverty alleviation and migrant workers' returning to work with strong efforts, so as to strive for the accomplishment of all the goals and tasks of the year.

　　At the meeting, 31 counties including Xuyong County were approved to be removed from the list of poverty-stricken countries. The meeting stressed that the year 2020 is the last year for achieving comprehensive poverty alleviation, so departments at all levels throughout Sichuan Province should cooperate with each other, make up the deficiencies to ensure that rural poverty-stricken people do not have to worry about food and clothing and have access to compulsory education, basic medical services and safe housing, refine and implement special supportive policies, solve special problems effectively, and fight against deep poverty while fighting against the epidemic, so as to ensure that all poverty-stricken population can be lifted out of poverty as scheduled. Measures should be taken to consolidate the achievements in poverty alleviation, carry out a comprehensive screening of people who have been lifted out of poverty, make up the deficiencies, rectify and clear relevant accounts term by term, and provide follow-up support to people needed to be lifted out of poverty regularly, so as to ensure that poverty alleviation achievements can withstand the test of history. Measures should be taken to maintain the stability of policies and measures, guarantee continuous responsibilities, policies, support and supervision after achieving poverty alleviation, research and establish a long-term mechanism to solve relative poverty, and promote the coordination between poverty alleviation and rural revitalization.
