On
November 11, the 2020 "Golden Panda" International Communication
Summit Forum was opened in Chengdu. It was directed by National Radio and
Television Administration and China Media Group, and sponsored by Chinese
Television Artists Association, Publicity Department of CPC Sichuan Provincial
Committee, Sichuan Radio and Television Bureau and Sichuan Radio and
Television.
This
forum was themed on "Chinese Story · International Communication",
with one main session and four parallel sessions involving documentary, TV
dramas, films and new media. Department heads from relevant industries,
industry professionals and academic experts had a deep discussion on works
creation, international cooperation and overseas expansion. Focusing on
overseas communication of Chinese TV dramas and films, they particularly dived
into the ways of telling Chinese story with international expression and
conveying China's value with a global vision against the backdrop of integrated
media development.
At
the forum, exhibition and screening of outstanding international films and TV
dramas were also launched via online and offline. More than 20 films and TV
dramas at home and abroad that won the "Golden Panda" International
Communication Award last year were exhibited and screened at the forum,
enhancing the communication and influence of the Award and giving better play
to the leading and guiding role of the Award in the creation and overseas
communication of outstanding works.
At
the opening ceremony, Meng Dong, Deputy Director of National Radio and
Television Administration, gave a keynote speech, together with Hu Zhanfan,
Vice Chairman of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Chairman of
Chinese Television Artists Association, and Gan Lin, a member of the Standing
Committee of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Director of Publicity
Department of CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee, delivering speeches. Luo Qiang,
Vice Governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, presided over the
opening ceremony.
Heads
from China Media Group, International Department, Central Committee of CPC, and
Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union attended the opening ceremony.
