On October 26, the Sichuan-Guangdong-Hong
Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Modern Service Industry Cooperation and Exchange
Matchmaking Conference was held in Guangzhou. Since the Sichuan Service
Development Conference, this is the first time that leaders from the Provincial
People's Government of Sichuan Province have led a team to carry out modern
service industry project introduction activities in other provinces. It was
also the second event since the establishment of the Sichuan-Guangdong-Hong
Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area competitive industry cooperation and exchange
docking mechanism.
This event introduced a total of 100 major
projects related to "4+6" modern service industry in Sichuan, with a
total investment of 591.64 billion yuan, of which 72 came from four pillar service
industries, including commercial trade, modern logistics, financial services,
recreation & sports and tourism. The investment demand reached 479.35
billion yuan, accounting for 81%. There are 28 emerging service industry
projects, including science and technology information services, business
exhibition services, human resources services, Sichuan-style catering services,
medical and health care services, and community services, with an investment
demand of 112.29 billion yuan, accounting for 19%.
More than 70 modern service industry
enterprises (commerce chambers and associations) from the Guangdong-Hong
Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area participated in the conference, bringing in 16
projects with specific investment plans, with a planned total investment of
over 200 billion yuan. For example, OCT Group plans to invest an additional 100
billion yuan in Sichuan, mainly investing in the construction of cultural
tourism projects in the Chengdu Eastern New District; KWG Group plans to invest
50 billion yuan in building up Tianfu International Financial Center in Chengdu
Eastern New Area, comprehensive development and supporting infrastructure
construction projects in Shuangliu District; Hong Kong Causeway Bay Group plans
to invest in high-end commercial, cultural and tourism projects, with a total
investment of about 30 billion yuan.
The responsible person from the Sichuan
Provincial Bureau of Economic Cooperation said that as of now, Sichuan had held
more than 20 docking activities for different countries, regions and industries
this year. In the first three quarters, there were 2,320 service industry
projects that had been fulfilled, with a domestic fund of 391.503 billion yuan
in place, accounting for 44.41%.

addressed the conference.
