Recently, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the establishment of Sichuan Qionglai Economic Development Zone and Sichuan Gulin Economic Development Zone. Sichuan Qionglai Economic Development Zone will have food & beverage and medicine as leading industries with an approved area of 703.2 hectares; Sichuan Gulin Economic Development Zone will have wine-making as leading industry with an approved area of 172.24 hectares.

　　The reporter learned that Qionglai has been titled as “Hometown of raw wine for liquor in China” by China Light Industry Council and China Alcoholic Drinks Association; the city has built "Famous Alcoholic Drinks Industrial Park in China", which is home to Wenjun Alcoholic Drinks Factory, Guchuan Alcoholic Drinks Factory, Chunyuan Alcoholic Drinks Factory, and other alcoholic drinks enterprises. From January to April in 2019, among industries above designated size in Qionglai, food & beverage industry registered output value RMB 3.271 billion, an increase of 9.6% (quality liquor RMB 487 million, a year-on-year increase of 12.7%). Situated in the core production area of Chishui River Maotai-flavor liquor, Gulin County is home to 5,466 pits, with an output of 70,000 tons and storage of 180,000 tons of raw wine. Langjiu, one of the famous "six golden flowers" among Sichuan liquor brands, is based in Gulin. From January to May this year, Gulin County recorded liquor output of RMB 7.32 billion, with added value RMB 3 billion. According to the analysis of insiders, the release of the document will guide the development of alcoholic drinks enterprises.
