On the afternoon of July 2, the inaugural meeting of Sichuan Cultural Tourism Vocational Education Group was held in Chengdu, marking the establishment of China's first provincial cultural tourism vocational education group. This Group is a vocational education consortium and interest community jointly initiated by Sichuan Vocational College of Art, Sichuan Tourism Investment Group and tourism schools in Sichuan and jointly established by relevant universities, cultural troupes, cultural tourism enterprises, scientific research institutions, etc.

Sichuan Cultural Tourism Vocational Education Group is composed of 28 universities, 23 cultural tourism institutions and 57 cultural tourism enterprises from both inside and outside Sichuan Province. Going forward, it will adhere to the concept of promoting cooperation in jointly running schools and cultivating talent, and advancing inclusive development; realize resource sharing, develop complementary advantages, promote mutual benefits and advance common development; diversify cooperation ways such as university-to-enterprise, university-to-university and university-to-local-entity cooperation; build an education mechanism in which governments play a guiding role, industries play a leading role and universities and enterprises cooperate with each other; set up a vocational education system featuring all-round and multi-level coordinated development and integrating talent training, teaching and research, practical training and social services; promote the integration and sharing of high-quality educational resources, advance the realization of "making industries and specialties supportive of each other", and make new contributions to the integrated development of Sichuan cultural tourism.

In addition, the Group will also actively carry out exchanges and cooperation with the Sichuan Cultural Tourism Enterprise Alliance founded this May so as to establish a communication bridge between its member units with the Alliance, press home the Alliance's advantages in industry enterprise resources and its own advantages in cultural tourism education resources, actively explore the pilot reforms of joint-stock and mixed ownership in vocational colleges, cultivate a cohort of enterprises integrating production and education, promote the organic integration of education chain and industrial chain, and facilitate the formation of a healthy development landscape characterized by the integration of universities and enterprises.
